Dear Ms. Carter:

Water and sewer plans that are part of the plan of development for
the above project were submitted to the Planning Department on
February 9, 2007.

DPU recommends approval of these plans by the Planning Commission.

Please address the following comments before submitting the
construction plans for signature.

Sheet C1
1.     The titles in the Sheet Index should match the titles in the
title block on the Sheets. Review Sheets C9, 10, 11, 13 & 14 in the
Sheet Index and the title blocks for C9, 10, 11, 13 & 14 and revise.

Sheet C2
2.     Is the information provided for the existing manholes per the
CSB or field information? It should be indicated on the plan as CSB
or field. If the information is per field, then provide the CSB Sta.,
Top, and FL information for all existing manholes on the plan. Review
and verify. See Sheets C3 and C6 as well.
3.     Provide the size and material type of the existing sanitary
sewer. Is there an existing monitoring manhole and grease trap? If
so, the approximate location of the existing monitoring manhole and
the capacity of the existing grease trap should be shown and called
out on the plan. What is the rectangular box shown on the sewer
lateral and called out as a cleanout? See Sheets C3 & C6 as well.
4.     Show the existing waterline, with a callout including its
size and material type, in Bremer Road and Staples Mill Road for the
limits of Bremer Road and Staples Mill Road shown on the plan and
show and callout all existing fire hydrants. See Sheet C3 as well.
5.     Show both 2? water meters that serve the existing building
and indicate their meter numbers (21808686 and 21808687) on the
plan. See Sheet C3 as well.
6.     Is there an existing internal or external domestic bfp? If
so, will the existing backflow prevention device be removed with the
demolition?

Sheet C3
7.     Provide a note on the plan stating for the existing water and
sewer services to be protected during construction. The existing
water and sewer services should be plugged at the property line
during construction and the utility plan should note for the plugs to
be removed prior to completion of construction.
8.     Indicate for one of the existing water services for the
existing building to be abandoned in accordance with DPU Standards
1.1.04C and 9.3.10.

Sheet C6
9.     Be advised that the exclusion meter and exclusion bfp can be
located on the water service after the water meter instead of on the
service line coming out from building.
10.     There is a callout for a 1? exclusion meter and a 1? bfp for
the exclusion meter. Provide the bfp detail on the plan, reference
the form number and sheet location of the detail in the callout for
the bfp on the plan. Also, reference the Standard drawing number for
the exclusion meter or provide the detail on the plan.
11.     The two existing fire hydrants are not within the required
350? hose lay from the hydrant to any part of any structure to be
protected in accordance with DPU Standard 4.2.05 J. DPU suggests
providing a fire hydrant at the entrance to the McDonalds off Bremer
Boulevard.
12.     Show the waterline that the existing fire hydrants tie into.
13.     What is the size of the existing water service between the
main and the water meter? Be advised that DPU only allows the water
service to be the same size of the water meter or one size greater.
Also, reference DPU Standard Drawing D-222 for the 1 ½? water meter
or provide the detail on the
